Valencia and Getafe agree and Bordalás will arrive at Mestalla

Valencia and Getafe unblocked this Tuesday afternoon the last obstacle that separated Pepe Bordalás from the Mestalla club bench, so it is expected that in the next few hours his signing will be official since it only remains to exchange roles and formalize it, as confirmed to Mundo Deportivo sources familiar with the operation.

The leaders of the Mestalla club closed an agreement with the Alicante coach a few days ago and presented it a few days ago to Peter Lim, the club's largest shareholder, who gave the go-ahead for his hiring.

With that endorsement, the Bordalás and Valencia agents started a fleeting negotiation with Getafe and this afternoon the president of the azulón club, Ángel Torres, has accepted the operation.

Bordalás had one more season of contract with Getafe but also Torres' commitment to facilitate his departure without having to pay a million and a half of his termination clause. The agreement, which has not transpired, would include the arrival of Valencia players at the Alfonso Pérez Coliseum.

Anil Murthy, president of Valencia, pointed out a few days ago that the entity's intention was to sign “a leader” for the bench and thus be able to relaunch a team that has been struggling to avoid relegation when it should have been fighting for the Europa League.
