Vadillo, a luxury transfer puts the icing on the Espanyol squad

“The team gains overflow, speed and skill on both sides of its attack.” This is how Celta introduced Álvaro Vadillo, a left winger who arrived free after ending his contract with Granada, this summer. But, just a few weeks later, coach Óscar García decided that he would not count on him and The Andalusian will play on loan at Espanyol in his challenge to return to the First Division in just one season.

The operation, a real market opportunity, began to take shape at noon, just after Espanyol did not fit in its salary limit the conditions that Levante put for Hernani Santos. The sports management wanted to put the icing on the cake for the best squad in the category with a left-handed winger, and Vadillo fit the profile Vicente Moreno was looking for. Finally, and after negotiating with Celta and adapting the conditions to the limit demanded by LaLiga, Vadillo becomes a parakeet player for one season with a purchase option at the end of the course, mandatory in case of promotion.

Vadillo has experience in First and Second, as with Miguelón or Fran Mérida, other of Rufete's signings. The Betis youth squad, the club with which he debuted, has accumulated 64 games in the top flight and 100 in the silver division. He has worn the shirt of Betis, Huesca and Granada, he has even been an U-19 and U-20 international and has participated in the Europa League. A knee injury cut his meteoric progression (at the age of Nico Melamed he already had 35 games in First).

The footballer will immediately join Vicente Moreno's discipline, and will already be able to enter the squad of 23 players this Saturday against Alcorcón. One more element for a Primera forward, with Matías Vargas, Javi Puado, Adrián Embarba, Wu Lei, Víctor Campuzano and Raúl de Tomás. Now they are joined by Vadillo, a versatile player who can play on both sides and who has already risen with Huesca. More wood.
