United names 6 sales to sign reinforcements

Manchester United will undertake its umpteenth summer of reforms in search of making the final leap to play, again, the Premier League and the Champions as favorites. Getting a place for the latter is the great objective of those of a Solskjaer who seems to have found the balance that will lead him to victory.

The Norwegian is clear about his untouchables (Bruno, Rashford and the very young Greenwood), he is recovering Pogba for the cause that he is even working to renew and also, he is clear about his discards for this summer.

According to The Telegraph, the club and the coach have six names on the starting ramp: Alexis Sánchez, Phil Jones, Jesse Lingard, Chris Smalling, Marcos Rojo and Diogo Dalot. Although with different roles, the club considers that none has met expectations and are looking for a sale that could leave, if sold according to their current market value, more than 80 million euros in the coffers of the Manchester club.

The worst operation will undoubtedly be that of Alexis Sánchez. The Chilean continues to be the highest-paid player in the Premier League and never performed at United at the level expected with just five goals in 45 games. His departure, beyond what is entered by the transfer (a figure that will not reach half of what was paid for him), would greatly alleviate the wage bill allowing the arrival of one or more level players. Precisely this salary will complicate his departure as it happened with his transfer to Inter this summer.

Smalling could stay in Rome and Phil Jones also points to Italy given the good experience of his partner as they point from England. Marcos Rojo will look for a club after his loan in Estudiantes as well as Dalot, who never showed the level that justified his arrival from Porto, and Lingard, who has lost a lot of weight since the arrival of Bruno Fernandes.

Where will those funds be invested?

Although the great target is Jadon Sancho, Borussia Dortmund will not drop below three figures to get him out, which complicates the operation. United has already warned that there will not be a large investment by one player for months, but it could be for several.

From the Telegraph they point out that Solskjaer has asked for a central defender and a striker to prop up the spine of his team. According to this medium, the Norwegian wants a top-level center back and a striker who competes with Greenwood and Rashford. Kalidou Koulibaly's name has been on the list although the Senegalese publicly assured that he wants to stay in Naples. No further details are provided on the tip. Will this reform be the one to take the leap?
