United Arab Emirates will face Australia in the playoffs in Asia

MADRID, 29 Mar. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The teams from the United Arab Emirates and Australia will star in the Asian Football Confederation play-off tie to be in the World Cup in Qatar after the Arab team’s 1-0 victory against South Korea on Tuesday.

Hareb Abdullah’s goal at the start of the second half allowed the United Arab Emirates to take third place in Group A and meet the Australians, who had already secured the playoffs since last week after losing to Japan, next June 7th. The winner will face the fifth classified of the South American Qualifiers for the ticket to the World Cup in Qatar.
