The global sports performance and innovation brand Under Armor has joined El Corte Inglés at La Cursa in Barcelona, thus reinforcing its collaboration with the retailer, with whom it set up its largest shop-in-shop last September of Europe in El Corte Inglés in Portal de l’Àngel.
La Cursa, a race organized by El Corte Inglés, will celebrate its 42nd edition on April 24 (9:00 a.m.) over 10 kilometers after a two-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and will run through the most emblematic streets of the city of Barcelona.
The start will be at Avenida Diagonal, just in front of El Corte Inglés Diagonal, and the finish line at Plaza de Cataluña. Before the runners will have crossed the Paseo de Gracia, the building of the Pedrera, Aragó and the Gran Vía de les Corts Catalanes.
This year the Cursa El Corte Inglés is more sustainable and safe. For this reason, inscriptions are only online and can be formalized until Sunday, April 17, at 24:00 hours, through the website cursaelcorteingles.cat.
Almost 2.5 million runners (2,409,838) have participated in the event over the previous forty-one editions. In this edition, all the runners who have passed the three time controls will be able to collect a ‘finisher’ medal, starting on April 27, at El Corte Inglés Portal de l’Àngel and at El Corte Inglés Diagonal.
Ariana Sánchez, number 3 in the professional ranking of the World Padel Tour, and Darko Peric, a Serbian actor known for his role as Helsinki in the series La Casa De Papel, and the musical group Estopa have shown their support for the race, which will support the work of Aura Fundació, which works for the social and labor inclusion of people with intellectual disabilities.
With this initiative, Under Armor intends to advance the commitment announced at the beginning of the year with its ‘The Gift Of The Game’ campaign, which promotes access to sport for everyone through various initiatives that make it possible to break down certain barriers that limit the access to sport.
