Anton Hudaev, a doctor for the Ukrainian national team, has died of coronavirus at the age of 48, according to a statement on social media from the country's soccer federation.
“On behalf of the President of the Football Federation of Ukraine Andriy Pavelka, Coach Andriy Shevchenko and from the whole Ukrainian football family, we express our condolences to his family“The Federation said in its statement.
“The entire national team is very sad,” he added. Hudaev was also a doctor for the local club Metalist Kharkiv team. The virus has caused more than 1,600 deaths in Ukraine with around 65,000 people infected, as reported by that country.
