Ukraine and Bosnia remain leaders

Ukraine does not cry sorrows after missing the World Cup in Qatar a few days ago and managed to stay as leader of group 1 of League B after drawing against Ireland (1-1).

In a match in which Aleksandr Petrakov’s men took the initiative, something they couldn’t translate into superiority on many occasions, the British began to take the lead just after half an hour thanks to Collins (31′). Luckily, just after the break, Dovbyk, assisted by the eternal Yarmolenko, achieved an early equalizer that was not moved further (47′).

In the same group, this day’s match was played by Scotland, who grew up against Armenia (1-4) despite only conceding a goal from Bichakhchyan to start the match (6′). Armstrong equalized not long after (14′) and just before the break, when the Armenians were already inferior due to Arman Hovhannisyan being sent off for a double yellow in one minute, he made the lead (45′).

The game was decided soon after passing through changing rooms. McGuinn and Che Adams resolved in four minutes (50′ and 53′) and Armenia, desperate and impotent, ended with another red card, this time for Kamo Hovhannisyan in the last minute.

Bosnia, with a firm step

In group 3, the leader hasn’t changed either, since Bosnia remains the leader after beating Finland in a match that became really complicated (3-2).

Miralem Pjanic, a player still owned by FC Barcelona, put Bosnia ahead at the start after a penalty by Vaisanen (5′). However, in two flashes, Pulli (10′) and Kallman (18′) managed to turn the score around and put their rival in a difficult situation.

Bosnia, with much more punch and arrival, turned to their attacks and before half an hour Dzeko equalized (29′), who was also in charge of coming back in the 58′.

In the other group match, Montenegro was far superior to Romania and won (3-0) thanks to a wonderful hat trick by Mugosa (42′, 56′ and 63′).
