The UEFA is studying to sanction the founding clubs of the Superliga with two years without being able to participate in the Champions nor in the Europa League. As published ESPN, Aleksander ceferin put tougher measures against the clubs that devised the competition parallel to the Champions and that they launched the project last April.
This would be the toughest sanction applicable in the regulations and it would be related to article 51 of the UEFA statutes, which dictates that alliances or combinations between affiliated clubs cannot be created without the express consent of the highest body of continental football.
According to the aforementioned information, Ceferin has held meetings with the English clubs promoting the Superliga (City, United, Liverpool, Arsenal, Tottenham and Chelsea) to lower this possible sanction if it is confirmed that all of them have taken a step back in the project.
Madrid, Barcelona, Milan and Juve, which have not been unmarked from the Super league, could be the clubs sanctioned with these measures.
