The UEFAthrough an official statement, has condemned ‘strongly’ the Russian military invasion from Ukraine. In its note, the European body appeals for peace and respect for human rights, while offering its solidarity to the Ukrainian football community.
UEFA will celebrate this Friday a Executive committee extraordinary in which he will address the situation created by the Russian intervention. It is very likely that among the decisions that he announces is that of transferring the Champions League finalinitially planned in Saint Petersburg, to another stage.

“UEFA shares the important concern of the international community for the security situation developing in Europe and strongly condemns the ongoing Russian military invasion of Ukraine.
As the governing body for European football, UEFA works tirelessly to develop and promote football in accordance with Europe’s common values, such as paz and the Respect for human rights, all present in the spirit of the Olympic Charter. We stand in solidarity with the Ukrainian football community and are ready to reach out to the people of Ukraine.
We are treating this situation with the utmost seriousness and urgency. The UEFA Executive Committee will make decisions about it and will announce them tomorrow.”
