UEFA sanctions Union Berlin for racist incidents

The UEFA Control, Ethics and Disciplinary Committee has decided to sanction the German club Union Berlin with the partial closure of its stadium in the next Conference League match, on 4 November against Feyenoord, for the racist incidents recorded in the match against the Israeli Maccabi Haifa.

In that game, played on September 30, a group of German Maccabi Haifa fans were subjected to anti-Semitic insults, as admitted by the German club itself, which later apologized for it.
