Two games of sanction to Emery and one to Bordalás

The Competition Committee of the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) sanctioned this Wednesday with two games of suspension to Villarreal coach, Unai Emery, Y one from Getafe, José Bordalás, sent off with a direct red on matchday 23.

Seven Players will have to serve a penalty game for accumulating cards: the players of the Athletic Unai Núnez and Mikel Vesga; Iago Aspas and Brais Méndez (Celta Vigo); Ander Abarrenetxea (Real society); Lucas Olaza (Valladolid) and Cala (Cádiz).

As for the sanctioned technicians, the two matches of suspension imposed on Emery are due to an attitude of contempt or disregard for the referees, according to the Competition, after being sent off at the end of Villarreal-Betis (1-2) for protesting.

According to the referee report, “once the game was over, the Villarreal coach was told that he was sent off for waiting at the locker room tunnel at our entrance, gesticulating and addressing to us in the following terms: 'it is always against us, we have bad luck, but it is always against us', all this repeatedly “.

(+) This is how Emery explained his presentation:

On the last play of the match there had been a foul in favor of Villarreal, which the referee punished, although in that play a shot from the local team ended in a goal that did not rise to the scoreboard.

In the case of Bordalás, Competition imposes a penalty match for conduct contrary to good sports order, after the refereeing act of Getafe-Real Sociedad (0-1) reflected that he was expelled in the 90th minute for “leaving the technical area, entering the field of play, to face a player of the opposing team “.

This is the second sanction that the Committee imposes on the Madrid club coach this season after the one adopted after a clash with Sevilla coach Julen Lopetegui, -also sanctioned- after Djene's action on Lucas Ocampos in which he was injured.

The Competition Committee also agreed to sanction Getafe's goalkeeping coach with two games, Omar Harrak, expelled at the same time as Bordalás, in his case for conduct contrary to good sporting order, after rejecting the allegations of the club, which considers that there was a manifest material error since both events occurred after the 90th minute and not in this as stated in the minutes.

“In the opinion of this Committee, in this case there is no evidence of a manifest material error. And this because the arbitral imprecision in relation to the exact moment in which the events occurred does not, by itself, amount to the evidence of a material error. manifest in the consignment of facts that are, otherwise, notorious, “said Competition.
