He Novak Djokovic COVID-19 test result, number one in world tennis, which he underwent on Monday in Belgrade, will be known on Tuesday, according to the Serbian sports portal Sportklub.
Djokovic is in Belgrade after moving from the Croatian city of Zadar, where the final of the “Adria Tour” charity tournament was canceled on Sunday, after testing positive for one of the participants, the Bulgarian Grigor Dimitrov, 19th player in the world. Djokovic's entire family, who accompanied him in Zadar, also underwent the test in the Serbian capital.
Dimitrov played Zadar against Croatian Borna Coric on Saturday but canceled the rest of the games after feeling unwell and with a fever. On Sunday he reported that he was infected. After the final between Djokovic and Russian Andrej Rublev was suspended, coronavirus tests were carried out on the twenty people who were in contact with Dimitrov. Three tested positive: Croatian tennis player Borna Coric (33rd in the world), Djokovic's physical trainer Marco Panichi, and Dimitrov's coach Cristian Groh.
