Tuchel: “Kanté has been fantastic”

Thomas Tuchelcoach of Chelseapraised N’golo Kantéwho played a great game in midfield and provided an assist in the ‘Blues’ victory against Little (2-0) in the first leg of the round of 16 Champions League.

“He hadn’t been at his best level in recent games, after coming back from injury it had cost him to pick up the pace, but today he was fantastic. He had a great game”, he assured Tuchel at a press conference.

The German coach also spoke of Romelu Lukaku, who was a substitute this Tuesday and did not play any minute in the game. The Belgian did not even come out after the game to warm up with the rest of the substitutes on the lawn of Stamford Bridge.

“Each player has an individual physical preparation plan. If Lukaku has not been after the game is because the physical team has prepared it that way,” he said. Tuchel.
