Traoré, Real Sociedad’s first reinforcement for its return to the Champions League

MADRID, 9 Jun. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Malian right-back Hamari Traoré signed this Friday for Real Sociedad, with a contract until the end of the 2024/25 season and with the option to extend it for another year, also being the first reinforcement of the ‘txuri-urdin’ club for a course in which his return to the Champions League will stand out.

The Royal Society announced that Traoré had passed the medical examination in the morning, at the Gipuzkoa Polyclinic, and that he had later signed the contract at the Reale Arena offices. “The new realistic player arrives free after serving the last six seasons at the Stade Rennais,” the San Sebastian team stressed in a press release.

Traoré was born in Bamako (Mali) on January 27, 1992. He began his football career at USFAS Bamako in his hometown and, at the age of 20, signed for Paris FC. One season in France was enough for him to sign for Lierse in the Belgian First Division, where he played for two seasons.

“His good numbers catapulted him to the highest French division to sign for Stade Reims, where he stayed for two seasons until signing, in 2017, for Stade Rennais, a team in which he has played until today,” the club’s note indicated. txuri-urdin’.

“Undisputed holder on the right side, Traoré has been a key piece in the successes of the French team, a regular in European competitions in the last decade,” the note concluded. “A door has opened for me and I am very happy. My first impressions have been very good and it is a pleasure to be here,” said Traoré himself, a full international with Mali on 43 occasions.

“It is a very familiar club and I am also very familiar, so that has been a very strong point to come. I am really very happy to be here, in this great club. In all my humility, I will try to contribute the best that I can. I come here to contribute what I know how to do, my experience as a player, that the fans enjoy and meet the objectives of the club”, Traoré told the club’s official media.

“The team has had a very good season and has finished fourth in LaLiga. I’m here to try to contribute everything I know, to continue growing together and seek greater goals. It’s a very interesting season and we’re going to prepare to tackle it”, he pointed out, thinking about the participation of the San Sebastian team in the Champions League.

“I am ready to meet my teammates, to train with them. And of course, I really want to meet them as soon as possible and also all the fans, so that we can all win and advance together”, concluded Traoré.
