Tottenham upsets City and Liverpool takes second place

MADRID, 3 Dic. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Manchester City could not (3-3) with Tottenham this Sunday on matchday 14 of the Premier, in an exchange that eluded them with the London tie in the 90th minute, surpassed by Pep Guardiola's team in the table by Liverpool epic against Fulham (4-3).

The champion dropped to third position after letting a victory slip away that had several moments in his hand, while Ange Postecoglou's men get out of their slump and are fifth (27). The start at the Etihad Stadium was dominated by Son Heung-Mi who, in three minutes, scored a goal in each goal (1-1). Shortly after, Foden made it 2-1.

City was the protagonist and had the chances to score, but they also played with fire in the final relaxation. Lo Celso punished him with 2-2, but Guardiola's team once again brought out quality to make it 3-2, in a great recovery by Rodrigo, through Grealish. A header from Kulusevski made it 3-3.

The 'Spurs' thus embittered a City that also paid for it with the referee for a play nullified without law of the advantage when Haaland had given another assist for a possible goal to Grealish. The defending champion is thus left with 30 points, compared to 33 for the leader Arsenal and 31 for a Liverpool team that was epic.

Jurgen Klopp's men won at Anfield with goals from Wataru Endo and Alexander-Arnold in the 87th and 88th minutes. The 'red' had taken the lead twice in the first half, but the game took an unexpected turn before the final revelry of a Liverpool that looks like champion again after seven days without losing.

Meanwhile, the aspirations for the head of Unai Emery's Aston Villa had to settle for one point (29) against Andoni Iraola's Bournemouth. The duel between Spanish coaches left it at 2-2 with a goal from Ollie Watkins in the 90th minute. In addition, Chelsea signed a forced victory (3-2) against Brighton to remain at least in the middle of the table with 19 points.
