MADRID, 23 Oct. (EUROPA PRESS) –
Tottenham beat Fulham (2-0) this Monday, in the last game of the ninth day of the Premier League, and has returned to the top of the standings, which it now leads alone after Arsenal’s setback.
After the Gunners’ draw on Saturday at Stamford Bridge (2-2), the ‘Spurs’ did not fail in their attempt to remain alone at the top of the table at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
After half an hour, Heung-min Son put a ball into the top corner to open the score (min.36), which increased shortly after the start of the second half when the South Korean assisted James Maddison to make it 2-0.
In this way, Ange Postecoglou’s team remains undefeated and returns to first place thanks to its 23 points, two more than Manchester City and Arsenal. Fulham, for its part, remains thirteenth with 11 points, seven above the relegation zone.
