Toni Freixa reflects after losing and gives “full support” to Laporta

The former candidate for the presidency of FC Barcelona Toni Freixa has made three reflections this Tuesday, two days after the elections, and wanted to show his “full support” to the new Blaugrana president Joan Laporta, who was already president between 2003 and 2010.

Freixa, on his social networks, sent a message of support to Joan Laporta, whom he already congratulated in person, like Víctor Font, on the same Sunday night after knowing the electoral results.

“Full support for Joan Laporta and her Board. Their successes belong to everyone,” he said. Of course, he celebrated as a “success” having contributed to “showing how things work” at Barça.

“I am very proud to have independently defended our club model,” said Freixa, who finished the electoral race in third position.

Freixa, leader of the 'Fidels al Barça' candidacy, obtained 4,769 votes (8.58 percent) for the 16,679 (29.99 percent) of Víctor Font and the 30,184 votes (54.28 percent) that they converted into president to Laporta.
