Toni Amor: “Leganés is very much alive, we will fight to the end”

Toni Amor, second coach of Leganés who on Friday replaced Javier Aguirre on the bench for the Madrid team, suspended, said after the 1-1 draw against Mallorca in Palma that his team “is very much alive” and that he will fight “until the end for salvation. “

“We have played three great games (after the restart of LaLiga) and although the results have not accompanied us, the team goes back and back. We are very clear about the objective (to avoid the descent) and we are going to leave life in the attempt ”, stated Amor.

The Mallorcan coach pointed out that Mallorca “never felt comfortable” and lamented “the misfortune” that Salva Salva's goal meant, which marked a direct free kick by passing the ball under the barrier formed by his team.

“We tied and went for the second goal leaving very good feelings, although in the end it was disappointing for the result. Salva Sevilla's goal was a disgrace. Surely Mallorca did not expect the goal (from Oscar Rodríguez) in the last minutes and we were even able to score the second. Leganés is very much alive to make this happen ”, he indicated.

Amor dedicated several minutes of his press conference in praising Óscar Rodríguez: “He is a benchmark, few midfielders have 9 goals (4 of them missing). He is a great player and a goal like the one he scored, with an incredible hit, it was fantastic ”. EFE
