Tissot has celebrated the NBA Paris Game 2023, in which the Chicago Bulls beat the Detroit Pistons 126-108 at the Accor Arena in the French capital, together with basketball legends such as Tony Parker, cinema and fashion, in the first NBA game outside the United States since the pandemic.
As Official Timekeeper of the NBA since 2015, Tissot offered an immersive experience to its guests, immersing them in the game and in a festive atmosphere enlivened by DJ sessions by Tatyana Jane and Lil Rosy, a video game area with NBA 2K23, the of the NBA, or the digital Tissot Buzzer Beater, at the Accor Arena’s Live Bar.
Tissot also organized an ‘Aftershow Party’, in which the passion of the emblematic Swiss watch brand and the NBA were combined with nearly 200 guests, including basketball legend and Tissot ambassador Tony Parker, former Tissot player Detroit Pistons and NBA star ‘Rip’ Hamilton, actors Noah Schnapp, Nassim Lyes and Camille Cottin and French models Tina Kunakey and Zakari Kunakey.
“The NBA Paris Game 2023 was the perfect platform to host an event of this type. It allowed us to demonstrate our experience as Official Timekeeper, but also to show what the brand is, offering our guests a unique and highly memorable Tissot experience,” he commented. Sylvain Dolla, CEO of Tissot.
Dolla highlighted the similarities with the NBA, which, according to him, has been a “source of inspiration” to create some watches from the Swiss watchmaker. “For us, it is important to embrace the culture of basketball and we are looking forward to contributing more to the community,” added the CEO.
To celebrate the 75th anniversary of the collaboration with the NBA, last year Tissot enriched one of its most emblematic sports watches, the Tissot SuperSport, with new straps, one of them, the Wilson Edition, made with the same leather used for manufacture the official ball of the american basketball league.
The collection includes straps inspired by the uniforms of 11 different NBA teams, including the Los Angeles Lakers, Miami Heat, Chicago Bulls, Golden State Warriors, Toronto Raptors, and Milwaukee Bucks.
