Tiger Woods: “I don’t have the stamina I would like to have”

LONDON, 18 Dec. (PA Media / dpa / EP) –

The golfer Tiger Woods regretted not having, at present, the resistance that he “would like to have”, after in February he suffered a serious traffic accident and this weekend he returned to the golf courses to play, together with his son , the PNC Championship tournament.

“I’m starting to try playing again, so I don’t have the stamina I would like to have. Unfortunately, sometimes the feeling doesn’t match the speed or shot I’m taking. The ball isn’t flying as far as it does me. I like it or I’m used to it, “Woods said before starting his first tournament after the accident.

The American assured that his swing is no longer “so powerful.” “I just don’t have the speed. I can’t generate the speed that I’m used to, and you know, the body isn’t what it used to be before,” he said.

“Slowly but surely I’ll get to where the speed will start to pick up, and I’ll be able to start making the shots that I know that are just not coming off at all,” Woods said.

Thus, the golfer minimized expectations before his return to a competition this weekend. Woods will play alongside his 12-year-old son Charlie 10 months after a life-threatening car accident that left the 15-time Major winner in need of surgery for multiple leg injuries.
