Tickets go on sale for the premiere in Palma of the UCI Track Champions League 2022

The velodrome of the Balearic capital will host the first test of the competition on November 12

MADRID, 23 Sep. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Tickets to witness the premiere of the UCI Track Champions League 2022 at the Palma de Mallorca Velodrome, which will be held on November 12 and in which the best cyclists in the world will be on track, are already on sale from this Thursday , inform the organizers.

Palma will be the start of a competition that will later travel to major European capitals such as Berlin, Paris and London. The organization has set a special reduced price of 10 euros to facilitate the attendance of the largest possible local public, while the price for non-residents will be 25 euros.

The Palma velodrome will once again be, for the second consecutive year, the stage where this sporting and visual spectacle will start, which brings together the best pistards in the world in both the male and female categories.

In this way, Palma and the Illes Balears velodrome are once again part of the calendar of a competition that will later visit Berlin, on November 19; Paris, on November 26; and London, on December 2 and 3.

The test can be followed on television through the different channels owned by Discovery, such as Eurosport, GCN +, Discovery + and the digital channels GCN Racing.

EQUAL PRIZES FOR MEN AND WOMEN

The 36 male and 36 female riders competing for victory in the Sprint and Endurance categories of the League will not only aspire to the coveted title and trophy that accredits them as champions of the UCI Track Champions League.

They will also do so for a cash prize pool that will be distributed equally among all categories, as part of the competition’s commitment to gender equality in sport.

The second season will once again feature a leader’s jersey worn by the top four (two women and two men) of the series’ Sprint and Endurance categories. Each rider will keep the same race number throughout the competition and will have their own personal jersey sponsors.
