The Spanish rowers Jaime Canalejo and Javier García, in two without men; Rodrigo Conde and Aleix García, in double sculls; and Virginia Díaz, in women’s skiff, will fight for the medals in their respective finals of the Rowing World Championship, which is being held in Racice (Czech Republic).
In total, up to five Spanish boats have managed to qualify for the finals, with two of them already resolved. Beñat Odriozola’s Paralympic boat, participating for the first time with the national team, was sixth in the PR2 M1x modality, while the four men’s lightweight sculls formed by Denis Carracedo, Jorge Knabe, Daniel Gutiérrez and Antonio Díaz finished in fourth position.
Olympians Jaime Canalejo and Javier García, bronze medalists at the European Championships, qualified on Thursday for the Final A of the two without men after being first in all the heats, and this Saturday, starting at 1:51 p.m., they will look for a new prize.
For their part, Aleix García and Rodrigo Conde, silver at the European Championships in Munich, finished first in the semifinals of the double scull (M2x) and will try to be crowned in the final on Sunday, a day in which they will also compete in the skiff final. feminine Virginia Díaz, who achieved the pass as second this Friday.
