Three priorities… and whatever comes up

Finished LaLiga, opens the market. Although it never closes completely, it is from this moment, and until August 31, when it is at its peak. And in the case of Atletico Madridthere is another hot summer in which the club’s priority is to strengthen three demarcations: right back, midfielder and forward.

With this it does not mean that there are no more signings, because Atlético has to resolve issues such as the goal, another central defender if he leaves Handsomeone left yes Lodi He goes to Newcastle… But it is true that reinforcing these three demarcations must be done yes or yes, regardless of what the market holds.

Regarding the right side, it remains to be seen if the mattress club will have to sign one or two players. Everything depends on the decision you make Vrsaljko, which has a renewal offer (lower, and for one year) on the table. If he doesn’t accept it, Atlético wants to go for it Pablo Maffeo, from Majorca. And aside from this, the right-handed lane wanted by Simeone es Nahuel Molina, of Udinese, although there are more names.

Regarding the center of the field, Kamara was the one chosen to shore up that plot after the departure of Hector Herrera, which is free and goes to the United States MLS. Although he was practically all agreed with the Frenchman, who had just finished his contract with Marseille, he finally went to Aston Villa, so in the Metropolitano he will have to activate other options.

And then there is the ‘9’. The departure of Luis Suárez ‘forces’ Atlético to go to the market. Having a center forward who guarantees goals is an obsession for Simeone, who considers that having forcefulness is the best way to get closer to being able to fight for everything. The favorites are Lautaro Martinez (the one that Cholo likes the most) and Darwin Nunez, the favorite on the main floor. But the arrival of anyone is difficult, because the starting price of 70 million complicates it. They assure from within that for a player of that caliber to arrive, there would have to be an important sale beforehand.

MANY OPEN FRONTS

Those are the priorities but, as we say, the market will define the plan for other positions. It depends on whether there are exits, if a good opportunity presents itself, on what is decided with the many on loan who have to return to the mattress discipline, since few have options to stay and the rest could enter into an operation… Many open fronts, but the priority is clear: sign at least one right-back, a midfielder and a ‘9’.
