Three positive cases in Alavés

The nightmare of the coronavirus reappears at Deportivo Alavés. The PCR tests carried out at the start of the preseason have detected three positive cases among the members of the first team. The club, in a note in which it is not specified whether they are footballers or not, indicates that, for now, “those affected are asymptomatic, isolated at home and in good health.”

In addition, the note highlights that “the tests were carried out following strict security measures” and indicates that these three people “have not maintained contact with the rest” of the members of the first team. As a precautionary measure, “arrivals were made in their own vehicles, spaced every three minutes and without interaction between them.”

Normal protocol

The club has proceeded to report these positives to the LFP and the health authorities, “following all established measures.” In the coming days, PCR tests will be carried out on the three affected to see when they can join the work with the rest of their colleagues.

In principle, after knowing all the results of the PCR tests, carried out last Monday, the rest of the staff will continue with the pre-established protocol. Today, Tuesday, the medical tests have begun, which will conclude tomorrow, Wednesday, and the team plans to carry out the first training session this Thursday under Pablo Machín, the new babazorro coach.
