Snow has blanketed Arrowhead Stadium, and it won’t improve over the weekend.  If Taylor Swift wants to see Travis Kelce perform on Saturday, she’ll have to walk through a winter wonderland.

The team posted some pictures of the Chiefs’ home playing surface in Kansas City on Wednesday afternoon. As you can see, it looks pretty cold three days before the playoffs start.

And, according to meteorologists, it will stay that way throughout the Dolphins game on Saturday night. The temperature will likely stay around 8 degrees Fahrenheit.

But it’s still not official whether Swift will brave the snow to see Kelce’s playoff game. But since she’s been attending numerous of his games since September, it looks like she’ll be able to find enough clothes to stay warm while she watches her man play.

The Dolphins had two very different possible playoff paths depending on how their last regular-season game against the Buffalo Bills in Buffalo turned out. The loss happened at a time when the weather was too bad to play their first-round game.

The team would have won its first AFC East title since 2008 and would have been able to play at least two playoff games at home if they had won.

Instead, the Dolphins’ 21–14 loss at home means they will likely be on the road for the rest of the playoffs.

Arrowhead Stadium will be very cold when the Dolphins play the Chiefs on Saturday night. It will likely be the coldest game the squad has ever played.

The temperature is expected to drop to around 8 degrees about three hours after the game ends.

One of the meteorologists from the National Weather Service in Kansas City, Jonathan Kurtz, said that the weather at the start (7 p.m. Kansas City time) would be about 12 degrees.

Things could become dangerous. The Chiefs gave fans some important tips and information about how to prepare for bad weather on Wednesday before the game.

Among these accommodations is at least one change from regular-season games. Fans can bring in wood that is smaller than 3′ by 5′ to use as a platform.

It wasn’t cold enough for the Chiefs to start a game until 1983. Back then, Kansas City’s first play in a game against the Denver Broncos at Arrowhead was frosty. Even though it was -19 degrees outside, the Chiefs won 48–17.

The FOX4 Weather Team says that the high temperature on Wednesday will be 9 degrees. That’s pretty cold for tailgating in the parking lots of Arrowhead Stadium, where it will feel like -10 degrees.

The FOX4 weather team says it will be 6 degrees with an average wind chill of -12 degrees by the time the game starts at 7 p.m. on Saturday. If the weather at the start stays the same, it will be the coldest playoff game in Chiefs history.

By the end of the fourth quarter, it will be 2 degrees outside, which feels like -15. Just when you thought things couldn’t get any worse, it will drop to -4 degrees tonight.

Chiefs fans should be glad to know that Arrowhead Stadium shouldn’t get too wet on Saturday, though there may be a few drops that won’t add up.

FOX4’s Weather Team says it might snow Thursday through Friday and again on Sunday, but not on Saturday. The icy cold that lasts until the end of the month will be the main worry.

He said that doctors’ main worry for Chiefs fans during the game is their mental health. Get help for someone who seems lost or confused.
