Felipe VI and the queen Joy They are already in Palma de Mallorca. The monarch and his consort landed on the Balearic island this Saturday, a few hours after attending the opening gala of the Olympic Games in Paris. This Sunday, while Princess Leonor and Infanta Sofia have successfully completed their second day in Paris, Felipe VI has boarded the ‘Aifos’, a ship of the Navy.

This day of sailing has been the first training session of the monarch for the 42nd edition of the Copa del Rey Mapfre sailing competition, which will begin next Tuesday, July 30, in Palma de Mallorca.

For his morning at sea, Don Felipe opted for comfortable shorts and a white polo shirt. Without forgetting the high temperatures on the island, Leonor and Sofia’s father selected sunglasses and a cap.

While Felipe is finishing his day of sailing, Queen Letizia is preparing for the closing gala of the Atlàntida Mallorca Film Festival, which takes place this Sunday at 9 pm. In this edition, the highest award will be given to the American actor Michael Douglas.
