This is the ATP ranking after the Monte Carlo Masters: number 1, classification and points

An exceptional participation and its reward in the ranking. Alejandro Davidovich, after dazzling everyone in Monte Carlo, advances towards the ATP positions of honor, chaired by Novak Djokovic. The man from Malaga, who arrived in Monaco 46th in the world, leaves 27th, his best position ever, after losing in the final to Stefanos Tsitsipas (3-6, 6(3)-7). One more member of the Navy at the top of the classification, with Rafa Nadal, as national representative, at the head. The Balearic tennis player, despite not being able to participate in the Masters 1,000, of which he is the absolute king (11 trophies), is still in fourth position, to which Alexander Zverev relegated him after Miami. The next, a Carlos Alcaraz who remains in 11th place. His defeat in the second round, then, has not taken its toll on him in this sense, since he did not defend points. Behind him, some Pablo Carreño (18th) and Roberto Bautista (19th) who are on par.

Four of the ten Spaniards in the world Top 100, which also includes Pedro Martínez (43rd) and Albert Ramos (32nd), dropped by Hubert Hurkacz in the round of 16, among the top 50. Above all of them, and of the whole world, a Nole that clings to the top. He arrived in Monaco with just ten points ahead of Daniil Medvedev (2nd) and, despite losing in his debut against Davidovich himself, remains at the top. He has lost points, 80, but the Russian tennis player has lost more (180). For now, the dispute for number one will continue to respond to the same dynamic: with Djokovic on the courts and with Daniil away from them, turning the situation that had developed up to that moment. Medvedev’s return, recovering from his hernia operation, is anyone’s guess.
