This is how Athletic remains in the standings

The rojiblancos are ninth after winning in Vallecas and remain three points behind the sixth place that leads to Europe

Athletic has made an important leap in the classification. The away win against Rayo Vallecano (0-1) allows the rojiblancos to be only three points away from sixth place in Europe. The lions are ninth with 31, the same as their rival today, who is one place above.

Ahead are Villarreal (32) and Real Sociedad (34). The Yellow Submarine defeated Mallorca (3-0), while the team from Gipuzkoa could not go from a scoreless draw against Getafe at Anoeta. The next league match for the lions will be against Espanyol in San Mamés on February 7.
