This is Group V of Segunda B: promotion possibilities

Two more days remain for Group V of Second Division B to come to an end. This season, the expansion of the category due to the suppression of the relegations due to the coronavirus crisis caused the birth of a fifth group, although the vast majority of clubs that make it up were already active in the bronze league last season. At the moment, there are only two certainties also called leaders: the Sanse and the Badajoz. At first, everything pointed to the fact that these two subgroups would be the most even. Time has shown that this is the case, especially in B, where there is one of the biggest paradoxes of the season. This is how the accounts are in the final stretch of the competition:

Subgroup A

With Sanse already classified with 34 points, it remains to be seen who his companions are in the First RFEF. Castilla de Raúl González Blanco has all the ballots to become the next. The club has bet on the legend to take the bench of the subsidiary and time has proved him right. The eternal '7' is constant and seeks to fully exploit the talent of blackbirds. He has not had it easy, since the plague of casualties from the first team has made Arribas or Hugo Duro moonlighting for weeks and weeks. Even so, the final streak allows them to be in condition to achieve the first promotion.

At the moment, they are three points ahead of Rayo Majadahonda, the only rival that can deprive them of the promotion phase. Winning the Atlético de Madrid subsidiary next Sunday would practically ensure qualification. Although Castilla have not set any goals, getting into the Second Division is a challenge on the horizon. The white subsidiary has not tried the Playoff since 2019, with Manolo Díaz. At that time, he was eliminated by Cartagena, now in the Second Division. After an irregular year last season, this season getting into the new category was necessary to promote the growth of the homegrown players. Of course, it will not be simple in the promotion phase to play the traditional Playoff. Sanse and Badajoz will be in their group with quite high scores.

The other two candidates for the first promotion are the aforementioned Rayo Majadahonda and DUX Inter de Madrid. The latter has Thibaut Courtois, Borja Iglesias or DjMaRiiO of shareholders and with Alfredo Santaelena in the direction of the team. That is, if he does not fall to the relegation zone, he has not yet saved. The Atlético de Madrid subsidiary will have more problems to get rid of the burning. To this day he occupies the seventh place and would not have any possibility of playing in the third category of Spanish football next season. In addition, his confrontation with Castilla does not help to get back on track. Getafe B no longer has any option.

Subgroup B

There is even more hustle and bustle in Subgroup B, where they sing for himself who can. A simple example. Don Benito is seventh and, therefore, occupies places in the relegation phase. If he wins at Socuéllamos, he reaches 24 points. If Villanovense, Mérida, Talavera and Melilla lose in a single day, they go from being down to being on the rise. Between the second, Extremadura, and the protagonist of the example there are only four points of difference. Even more drastic is comparing the third, Villanovense, with the first of the burning. Meanwhile, Badajoz sees the great battle from his throne. With 35 points, they accumulate four consecutive draws, the result of the relaxation against the already assured Second Division B Pro. In addition, they will come to it as one of the best teams in the entire category at the national level. Villarrobledo regrets from the bottom position that things have not gone as expected. Seven points and a single victory in 16 rounds condemn the club to the last place in the standings. Neither Socuéllamos nor Villarrubia will be able to get out of the well.
