Third summer with millionaire transfer in Zorrilla

With more intrigue than necessary, after a long summer of soap operas more typical of other countries than Brazil, Valencia announced this Wednesday the signing of Marcos André, which automatically became, after the officiality, in one of the most expensive sales ever of Real Valladolid. His transfer allows the Blanquivioleta entity to chain three summers in a row, making a millionaire, after those of Fernando Calero and Mohammed Salisu.

As it happened with these two, a single year in the elite has allowed him to revalue in such a way that, with just 1,171 minutes in the First Division and after scoring four goals, he has placed himself in the 'top 5' of the most expensive players. And it is that, in the absence of official figures, Valencia will disburse about eight and a half million, to which must be added a small percentage of a future sale, which places Maranhão behind Salisu (12 million) and Benjamín Zarandona (10).

As with the two sales that preceded it, the sale of Marcos André brings hand in hand a significant capital gain, after Real Valladolid paid out half a million for him. First, when he arrived from Logroñés, the sports management of Miguel Ángel Gómez agreed to pay 300,000 euros to Guaratinguetá for 50% of his pass. Months later, while he stood out in the Mirandés, he paid 200,000 more for another 25%.

Certainly, from the amount to be received, the percentage that kept their former team, a circumstance that could make you fall into that 'top' of sales. However, it will mean significant income in a context of loss of category and lower income due to this and the pandemic … which does not serve as a pretext for a sector of the fans, who shouted on their return to José Zorrilla “We don't want pasta, we want to move up”.

And it is that, after chaining three courses in a row scoring more than ten goals (two in Second B and one in Second), the level offered by Marcos André in the first section of last season, in addition to putting him on the market, invited optimism regarding his potential importance in an eventual promotion, since, until he got injured, he was one of the best players of a Real Valladolid a posteriori, diminished, and that will try in the remaining days of the market not to stay that way by means of reinforcements that replace it.
