Thiem, the 'giant killer' who threatens Federer, Nadal and Djokovic

Dominic Thiem is the only tennis player who, to this day, seems like he could break the tyranny on the men's circuit of Roger Federer, Rafa Nadal and Novak Djokovic. The Austrian has already positioned himself as number three in the world and has reached several Grand Slam finals showing that he is ready to take that leap.

The ATP has published an analysis on the latest clashes between Thiem and the Big Three tennis players and the figures show that the Austrian has the measure of Federer, Nadal and Djokovic. since they have been measured from the 2019 season.

In this period of time Thiem has won 7 of the 10 games he has played against the Big Three, with a positive balance against Federer (3-0) and Nadal (2-1) and tied for wins and losses against Djokovic (2-2).

Thiem has known how to play the Big Three on fast track and clay, as shown by his wins against Novak Djokovic in the 2019 ATP Finals, against Roger Federer at last year's Mutua Madrid Open or against Rafa Nadal in the quarterfinals of the Australian Open of this year. However, both Nadal last year at Roland Garros and Djokovic this year at the Australian Open have prevented Thiem from adding his first Grand Slam title, the pending subject of the Austrian.
