The set of TAR Moments of maximum tension has lived on Tuesday when Luis Pliego, director of the magazine Lectureshas revealed to have received text messages from the mobile phone from María Teresa Camposdeceased in September 2023. The disturbing thing is that, he explained, that number was discharged months ago and should not be operational.
It all started when Pliego interrupted the emission, visibly affected, to share what was happening on his device. “It’s not a joke, I’m affected with what is happening. I am receiving messages …”, he explained to everyone’s surprise. On the screen were the disturbing texts: “My dear Luis, I send you a kiss with a lot of love” and “A kiss from infinity.” Beclected, Pliego tries to answer asking who he was and how he got that phone, but does not get an answer.
The journalist explained that the mobile from which he receives the messages is the last one used by María Teresa Campos before his death. “This phone is discharged. I called Carmen (Borrego) and made all the efforts. This phone is from anyone,” he said, highlighting that they even contacted the telephone company, which confirmed that the number is no longer active.
Frank Blanco, also present in the program, has affirmed that he had seen the messages on the statement during the advertising pause and that he was visibly shocked: “The response of ‘A kiss from infinity’ is what he has received …” , he said, adding to the general confusion.
Luis Pliego has detailed that the message arrived at 17:50, just before his speech in the program. After receiving it, he tried to call the number immediately, but the line was inactive.
Carmen Borregodaughter of María Teresa Campos, has entered the phone completely impacted by what happened. “Nice, as you can understand, it’s not … I have put chicken skin,” he confessed.
Borrego confirms that his mother’s mobile was discharged shortly after his death and that he does not know how someone can be sending messages from that number: “This will be doing someone with a computer or method, but when Luis has called me, I have me I’ve put to tremble, “he said.
Almoguera’s mother has explained that she had never heard her mother use the phrase “a kiss from infinity”, which makes him suspect that it could be a macabre joke. “If I receive it, I shoot the mobile through the window,” he acknowledged.
The event has left all those involved bewildered. Luis Pliego has not hidden his outrage, so he considers disrespect: “It seems incredible that someone can access the phone of our loved ones who have died, make these jokes and get my number.” For its part, Carmen Borrego does not rule out taking legal measures. “I will ask my daughter, who is a lawyer,” he said live.
The mystery about the origin of the messages is still to be resolved. Meanwhile, the shocking scene has generated a great impact, fanning the debate on digital security and inexplicable experiences related to loved ones that are no longer there.
