The start of the new year will entail the implementation of a new method of revaluation of pensions that is still pending final parliamentary approval. This method, one of the modifications of the first leg of the pension reform devised by José Luis Escrivá, takes into account previous inflation, but in the case of minimum amounts the rise has been different.
As the Minister of Inclusion, Social Security and Migrations himself advanced, the minimum amount of pensions will go up in 2022 above the Consumer Price Index (CPI), an increase of 3% that will also apply to both non-contributory pensions and the Minimum Living Income.
This will cause pensioners who receive these minimum pensions to see their amounts increased. The increase implies retirement, widowhood, permanent disability, orphan and family pensions, and will leave the following amounts:
-In the case of people with dependent spouses, the minimum pensions for people under 65 will be 821.81 euros per month (11,505.34 euros per year), for people 65 years or over they will be 876.53 euros per month (12,271 , 42 euros per year) and for people over 65 years of age who derive from a permanent disability of great disability, they will be 1,314.78 euros per month (18,406.92 euros per year).
