The death of Isak Andic, founder of Mango and one of the most prominent figures in the business world in Spain, has left an immense void not only in the fashion industry, but also in his family. The businessman, who lost his life this Saturday at the age of 71 after falling down a ravine while hiking in Montserrat, leaves behind an empire valued at more than 4 billion euros and three children: Jonathan, Judith and Sarah. Each of them, the result of her marriage to Neus Raig, plays an important role in the continuity of their father’s legacy. The Andic clan not only inherits a multimillion-dollar business, but also the responsibility of honoring the memory of a visionary whose influence transcends the borders of the textile industry.
Jonathan, Isak Andic’s eldest son, is 42 years old and has been prepared from a young age to lead the company that his father founded in 1984. Born from the relationship between Isak and his first wife, Neus Raig, Jonathan showed interest in the family business since childhood. He graduated in Audiovisual Communication in the United States and, in 2007, he officially joined Mango, beginning a path that led him to establish himself as his father’s right-hand man. His experience in the company includes the leadership of the men’s division of Mango, where he marked a before and after. Currently, Jonathan serves as executive president of the company and sits on the board of directors. His presence in the family business has been crucial, especially in times of crisis, such as in 2009, when Mango faced a significant drop in profits. On a personal level, Jonathan is known for his adventurous spirit. In 2009, he sailed around the world aboard his sailboat, the Nirvana, an experience that reinforced his passion for sailing, a hobby he shared with his father.
Regarding his love life, Jonathan has had two known relationships. His first partner was Soledad Álvarez, daughter of the designer Purificación García and founder of the accessories brand Lonbali. Later, he began a relationship with Paula Navarro, known as Paula Nata, an influencer and businesswoman with more than 113,000 followers on social networks. Paula is the owner of a communication agency that connects content creators with brands and, in addition, she has her own jewelry brand. The couple has hinted at wedding plans, with Paula recently dedicating emotional words to him: “You are unique. Here’s to many more years waking up by your side.”
Judith, Isak Andic’s second daughter, is 39 years old and, like her older brother, has played a key role in the family business. She studied fashion at the prestigious European Institute of Design (IED) and, after completing her training, she joined Mango to lead the creative direction of the brand’s most exclusive collections. Judith quickly stood out as responsible for Mango’s premium and sustainable line, demonstrating her commitment to the company’s social and environmental responsibility. Thanks to his leadership, the Catalan brand took significant steps in creating ethical and sustainable products, aligning itself with the demands of a more conscious clientele. Unlike Jonathan, Judith has kept a low profile, away from the media spotlight. He prefers not to attend parades or public events, focusing fully on his work and personal life.
Sarah, the youngest of the Andic clan, has followed a similar path to her older sister, although with a more international focus. He studied fashion business management at the Marangoni Institute in London and continued his training at the prestigious Parsons School of Design in New York. Although she also worked outside the family business, such as at the Aristocrazy brand, Sarah returned to Mango to contribute her experience. At the company, he decided to focus on the social action department, showing a particular interest in projects related to sustainability and community impact. Like Jonathan and Judith, Sarah sits on Mango’s board of directors, consolidating her role in strategic decision-making. Sarah shares with her siblings the discreet character that has defined the Andic family. Although she has a first-class academic and professional training, she has always chosen to stay away from the media spotlight, prioritizing her work within the company and her personal life.
The death of Isak Andic represents a turning point for his children, who must take the reins of an empire that has marked international fashion for decades. Jonathan, as CEO, will lead Mango, while Judith and Sarah will bring their creativity and vision to key areas such as design and sustainability. In addition to his business legacy, Isak Andic leaves a family deeply united and committed to the values he always defended: work, innovation and dedication. Despite the impact of his loss, everything indicates that his children will follow the path he set, ensuring that Mango continues to be a benchmark in the global fashion world.
