The World Football Summit (WFS) and AS awards for the best player of the year already have finalists. In the men's section, the three chosen in the joint vote between the AS.com Internet users and the WFS jury are Lewandowski, the great candidate to win the award, his Bayern teammate Joshua Kimmich and Leo Messi. Benzema, who was among the crowd's favorites, was left out of the final after the jury vote.
Regarding the finalists to choose the best player, the Spanish Jenni Hermoso will have to compete with the Danish Pernille Harder, currently at Chelsea, who scored 38 goals last season with Wolfsburg and is the great contender to take the title, and with Wendy Renard, central Lyon champion of Europe and the French team.
The vote of the Internet users of As.com had a value to choose the finalists of 25%, while that of the jury of World Football Summit and AS was of 75%. The winners will be announced next Monday, November 16, and the prizes will be delivered virtually on November 27. at a gala that can be followed through AS.com. These awards will be included in the WFS Industry Awards, which will be given at the WFS Live congress (23-27 November).
Lewandowski. The Polish striker (32 years old) was the top scorer in the Champions League (15 goals in 10 games) and the Bundesliga (34 goals in 30 games), competitions in which his team, Bayern, became champions. In addition, he was named MVP of the German league and UEFA Best Player, making him the great contender to win the award.
