The women’s team closes 2022 in seventh place in the FIFA ranking

MADRID, 9 Dic. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Spanish women’s soccer team will close this complex year 2022 in seventh position in the FIFA rankings and as the fifth best in Europe with 2,000.31 points, as published this Friday by the world governing body.

The team led by Jorge Vilda, who won their friendlies against Argentina (7-0) and Japan (1-0) in November, drops one place compared to the last ranking of last October and is surpassed by Canada.

Once again, the world rankings continue to be led by the United States, the current world champion who is stalked by Germany, which takes over from Sweden in second place. The Spanish team remains the fifth best in Europe, only surpassed by these two teams, England (fourth) and France (fifth).
