The women's and men's soccer teams, the former artistic swimmer Ona Carbonell, the former weightlifter Lydia Valentín, the former tennis player Feliciano López, the Atlético de Madrid, the Real Madrid basketball team and the Argentine soccer team are some of the winners of the Awards Sports Ace.
The gala will celebrate the sixteenth edition of its awards on December 18, starting at 8:30 p.m., at the Teatro Real in Madrid. At the event, the women's soccer teams, current world champions, will collect their awards; the men's soccer team, recently qualified for the Euro Cup and champion of the Nations League; Ona Carbonell and Lydia Valentín, recently retired Olympic medalists; former tennis player Feliciano López; Atlético de Madrid; the Real Madrid basketball team and the Argentine soccer team for winning the World Cup.
Among the awards, ex-footballer David Silva will also be distinguished; Manchester City midfielder Rodrigo Hernández; to the basketball player Iyana Martín; to the men's under-19 basketball team; to the youth men's handball team; the Navarrese golfer Carlota Ciganda, and Íñigo Llopis, Paralympic world champion in 100 meters backstroke.
