The winners of the Storm Circuit League of Legends will win a trip to Seoul

The Korean Cultural Center in Madrid signs a collaboration agreement with the largest LoL competition in Spain

MADRID, 10 Dic. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The winners of the League of Legends video game of the Storm Circuit of the 2024-25 season will win a trip to Seoul, following the agreement between the largest LoL competition in Spain and the Korean Cultural Center in Madrid.

In this way, the Korean Cultural Center will be present this season in the largest amateur esports structure in Spain. The objective is to promote an exchange of cultures between the Riot Games and GGTech Entertainment project and one of the leading countries in the gaming ecosystem through the Korean Cultural Center.

This exchange will materialize with the close of the 2024-25 season, since the Korean Cultural Center will provide a trip to Seoul for all members of the League of Legends team that win the title of champion.

The addition of the Korean Cultural Center to the Storm Circuit reinforces the aspirational narrative built over years. League of Legends and the tradition of the great Korean teams, along with their most iconic idols, have made Korea the benchmark for Storm Circuit participants.

This collaboration opens new doors of cooperation at multiple levels between Circuito Tormenta, Riot Games and the Korean Cultural Center, as well as the presence of the center at the largest gaming and immersive entertainment event in Spain, GAMERGY Madrid 2024, whose fourteenth edition will be celebrated from December 13 to 15 in pavilion 6 of IFEMA.

Shin Jaekwang, director of the Korean Cultural Center in Spain, highlighted that esports occupy a “prominent place” in Korean culture, driven by the excellence of video games and the success of Korean progamers on the global stage.

“In Spain, the Storm Circuit fosters an amateur ecosystem that promotes esports culture. Our collaboration with GGTech Entertainment and Riot Games will encourage and continue the development of young talents and cultural exchange between both countries,” said Jaekwang.

For his part, Edgar Medina, Country Manager in Iberia and Italy for Riot Games, declared himself “very proud” that the Korean Cultural Center has decided to bet on amateur talent in Spain through the Storm Circuit. “This collaboration is a reward for gamers who trust in the competitive League of Legends scene,” he said.
