The ‘Warriors’ meet this Saturday their rival to be in the next World Cup

MADRID, 18 Nov. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Spanish women’s handball team will meet this Saturday its rival for the ‘playoff’ that gives access to the next 2023 World Championship, which will be held in Denmark, Norway and Sweden, during a draw in Ljubljana at 1:45 p.m.

Spain, ninth in the recent European 2022, is located in Pot 1 along with the rest of the teams that participated in the tournament. José Ignacio Prades’ men will play in April one of the 10 European qualifiers that will give access to the world event.

The ‘playoff’ draw coincides with the outcome of the continental event, with the semifinals France-Norway and Denmark-Montenegro. The first legs will be on April 7 and 8, and the return ones, on April 11 and 12, when the qualifiers will be known.

Spain will play the second leg at home and their rival could be the Czech Republic, Austria, Slovakia, Iceland, Turkey, Ukraine, Portugal, Greece, Italy or Kosovo.
