The 'VAR' of the committees asks to review Guillamón's yellow card and points to Javi Gracia

The supposed plan of Javi grace for what Hugo Guillamón cleaning himself off cards taking advantage of his injury could end badly for the central defender and the coach Valencia.

The Integrity Committee of the Spanish Federation, a kind of VAR that can review some decisions, has asked the Competition Committee to open a file for both of them for the yellow card he saw against Atlético de Madrid, which was the fifth for the youth squad, according to Radio Valencia Cadena Ser.

A video from The Day After Movistar could be behind this request, as it seemed to show how, after Guillamón noticed a puncture and asked for the change, the technician asked him, with Manu Vallejo as a messenger, to force the yellow one. The idea would be that if his injury was minor and he was only going to lose one game, Eibar, he could reappear against Athletic this Saturday already clean of cards.

Unlike the Competition Committee, which can only be based on the scoresheet, Integridad can use all kinds of evidence and not just the scoresheet, in which the referee interpreted that Guillamón ‘only’ wanted to waste time.

Guillamón and Gracia could end up inaugurating the new Spanish Federation regulations that included a greater sanction for those who force a yellow to accumulate five and not play the next match.

Now, as sources from the Federation explained to Efe, Competition will appoint an investigating judge who will study the case and will raise a sanction proposal if it understands it but it will be Competition who will establish the final sanction if it so decides.
