The United States thrashes Achraf’s Morocco

The selection of Eunited states thrashed this Wednesday by 3-0 to the Moroccowith Achraf Hakim starting, in a friendly match in preparation for the 2022 Qatar World Cup played at the TQL Stadium in Cincinnati, Ohio.

As part of the ‘One Nation’ initiative, announced this Wednesday by the American Soccer Federation to support the LGBTQ+ community, Berhalter’s team wore a special shirt with the numbers in the colors of the rainbow.

He will wear those colors again in the friendly against Uruguay, while he will wear his traditional jerseys in the Nations League match against Grenada due to CONCACAF regulations.

The US team is experiencing significant growth under the direction of Berhalter and qualified for the World Cup in Qatar after not playing in Russia in 2018.

They are drawn in Group B alongside England and Iran, with the latter team yet to be decided through the play-off process. Morocco also got the ticket for Qatar 2022 and is paired in Group G along with Belgium, Croatia and Canada.
