Nadal begins to write his story

Every great story has a beginning, and Rafa Nadal's love affair with Paris was not going to be less. In 2005, he began to forge his legend with his first final and Grand Slam title on clay at Roland Garros. Before he raised the bar to an unattainable height of 12 Musketeers Cups, Rafa started his way against Argentine Mariano Puerta, whom he beat 6-7, 6-3, 6-1, 7-5. At 19 years and two days old, he became the fourth youngest player in history to win Roland Garros and the second rookie champion, after Mats Wilander.
