The Ukrainian Yaremchuk signs with Valencia and Castillejo, loaned to Sassuolo

MADRID, 1 Sep. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Ukrainian striker Roman Yaremchuk has become this Friday a new Valencia player on loan until the end of this season, at the same time that the ‘ché’ club has confirmed the departure of the Spanish winger Samu Castillejo, on loan to Italian Sassuolo , according to separate communications.

“Valencia CF and Club Brugge KV have reached an agreement for the loan of Roman Yaremchuk. The international center forward for Ukraine lands in Valencia to reinforce the attack until June 30, 2024 after having played for the Belgian team since the last summer”, advanced the entity on its website.

The Ukraine international striker trained at Dinamo kyiv, where he broke into the first team after a loan move to FK Oleksandriya. A few months after making his debut in the Ukrainian top flight, he signed for Belgian side KAA Gent in 2017, scoring 61 goals in four seasons.

His good work in his Belgian adventure caught the attention of the Portuguese Benfica, where he only played for two seasons, playing 47 games and scoring 9 goals. Without too much impact, he returned to Belgium to join Bruges, already participating in the Champions League since last season.

In addition, he is international with Ukraine from the lower categories, already adding 43 international caps, becoming the fifth all-time top scorer for his team with 13 goals. “Valencia CF is pleased to give the warmest welcome to its new striker, Roman Yaremchuk,” the statement concluded.

CASTILLEJO LEAVES VALENCIA

The incorporation of the Ukrainian forward took place before the ‘ché’ club announced an agreement with the Italian Sassuolo for the transfer with the option to buy the Spanish winger Samu Castillejo. The attacker, who arrived in the time of Gennaro Gattuso, has only spent one season at the Turia club, after arriving last summer from AC Milan.

The player from Malaga has played 26 games with Valencia, in which he has scored 4 goals. He will now face his second stage in Serie A, after the four seasons that he played as a ‘rossonero’, scoring 10 goals in 113 games.

“Valencia wishes to thank Samu Castillejo for his commitment during this time and wishes him good luck in this new stage of his career,” the club wrote on its social networks.
