The trial for Bertín Osborne’s paternity will be held at the end of the year

Today is the last day that the judge has given as a deadline for both Gabriela Guillen as Bertin Osborne (Norberto Ortiz) to present the evidence they have in their possession in view of the trial for the paternity suit that will be held next December. It just so happens that this deadline coincides with the leak of the famous statement that Bertín and Gabriela signed in their day, where the singer acknowledged being the father of the child that the Paraguayan had. Osborne believed that with this statement he put an end to a judicial process that not only has not ended, but is dragging on. Firstly because he could not stop the summons for the DNA tests that both the mother and the baby and the defendant had to undergo. Gabriela and her son did go to the toxicological institute of Las Rozas to undergo these tests, while Bertín simply sent a statement and did not show up for any of the five appointments that the judge gave him. His response has always been the same: in the statement he acknowledged his paternity and there was nothing else to do. Well, he was very wrong.

The judge has not only not stopped this lawsuit, but in a final act he has already warned the singer that he has not responded to the lawsuit. Or what is the same: that the statement will be useful for the media, but not for the courts. Justice has other procedures and other ways and that text was not included in any of the possibilities, since he had to have responded in a timely manner and in a legal manner. Therefore, the magistrate is moving forward with the lawsuit and although Bertín Osborne has not appeared in the DNA tests, he does not conclude the process, granting him paternity simply because he did not undergo them, as has happened in other cases. There is jurisprudence in different scenarios and that is why, in his case, there will be a trial in December and the witnesses who present and the evidence they provide will have to attend so that it is justice that determines the end of this lawsuit.

The summer has not been a time for the former couple to find time and space to resolve their situation. Gabriela has been on holiday with her son and right now the only thing that worries her is the health of the little one and that is why she has gone to the doctor as soon as she returned to Madrid. For his part, Bertín Osborne has had to cancel the few concerts he was going to give and his life continues outside the cameras and without wanting to talk about this matter. He has been seen on the beach with one of his sons and with his friends, such as Martín Pareja Obregón and Carlos Herrera, and at the moment it is unknown if there is anyone who occupies his heart. His youngest son was born nine months ago and he still hasn’t met him or anything like that.

Sources close to Gabriela Guillén say that, despite the statement in which she assumed paternity, the Paraguayan has not received any call, neither to collaborate in the development and care of the child nor to inquire about how it is being organized. The businesswoman only has the help of a cousin, who has moved to live next to her and can help her reconcile her work as a beautician with the care of the child. She will have to wait until December for the issue of child support to be resolved once the lawsuit is over. Of course, by then the child will be one year old.
