The Tax Agency urges Real Madrid to seize more than 1.4 million euros from Carlo Ancelotti's salary, as reported The world. The order, issued by the Special Delegation of Finance in Madrid just two days after knowing the return of the coach to the white club, has its origin in the judicial procedure that the Italian coach has opened in the court of instruction number 35 of the capital, where Ancelotti is summoned to testify on July 23, Friday for two alleged crimes of tax fraud.
The Prosecutor's Office denounced the technician for the taxation of his image rights between 2013 and 2015, during his first stage on the Madrid bench. The Treasury claims a tax debt of 1,396,875.33 euros plus 23,245.18 euros of default interest.
Ancelotti paid 3.2 million euros in 2014 and 7 million in 2015. The Tax Agency claims an additional payment of 300,000 euros for the first year and 675,000 corresponding to the second.
The discrepancy between the coach and the Treasury lies, as in previous cases that have affected personalities from the world of football, in the criteria for the taxation of image rights. Ancelotti channeled them, according to the complaint, through a company he created in England during his time at Chelsea, for which he paid 10% compared to the 45% contemplated by Spanish tax law when considering the Italian resident in our country to tax effects.
