The surprising wooden house of Carlos Alcaraz: we enter the home of the Wimbledon champion

new era for Carlos Alcaraz. The Murcian champion, at just 20 years old, won his first Wimbledon title this Sunday by defeating English grass on Novak Djokovic with a (1-6, 7-6, 6-1, 3-6, 6-4).

The young man, who just a couple of years ago was still living in his family home in El Palmar, left his Murcian residence in 2019 when he entered the prestigious Academia Equelitedirected by the former tennis player Juan Carlos Ferrero.

The academy, located in Villena (Alicante), is an all-inclusive high-performance center. And it is not for less, since Carlitos has added to his pocket after his last victory the chilling figure of 2,750,000 euros. An amount greater than the 2,622,000 euros that he received last year after winning the US Open. In recent years, due to his impressive takeoff, he has already accumulated 14.76 million in prizes.

Far from what is a large mansion that, without a doubt, could be afforded, Alcaraz’s home is similar to what we know as a rural hotel. The Alicante academy has 25 wooden houses located next to each other, separated with the necessary distance so that they do not disturb each other. There are rooms of different sizes. Carlos himself lived in one of 25 square meters in his first stage, during the confinement by Covid-19, although shortly after he moved to another more comfortable 90. Most of the rooms are doubles.

The ceilings, being made of wood, give the environment a rustic charm, in keeping with the rest of the space. The walls are white and smooth, with the aim of generating light and tranquility for future promises and tennis champions. Likewise, each bedroom has a study area, television, safe, several closets and shelves. The bathroom, meanwhile, is not ostentatious. The one who was the winner of the Wimbledon final this Sunday has a marble-effect sink, with a large mirror and a shower.

On the other hand, the exteriors of the academy do not leave anyone indifferent. All residents, including Carlitos, can enjoy extensive gardens, a swimming pool, 20 top-level tennis courts, restaurants, as well as a gym and physiotherapy and psychology services.
