The last few years have been especially difficult for him. In November 2021, he suffered a bicycle accident when he was returning to his house after several days of partying. He did not leave the ICU of the Puerta de Hierro University Hospital in Majadahonda until 50 days later.

Lourdes Ornelas, Camilín’s mother, has now given new details about how she is doing: “There she continues, fighting,” she explained in the first person to The Spanish. However, Ornelas has been encouraged and has ensured that her son is “strong and determined” and, above all, “well treated” by the right professionals. In December we already learned that he was incommunicado and under surveillance in his home 24 hours a day.

At 39, the son of the emblematic singer is going through a very complicated situation. Substance abuse has generated a significant deterioration in his health and in his physique: the latest images of him reflected a thin, deteriorated, pale and taciturn man. Well-known are the videos that he posted on social networks in which he appeared drunk and lost in the middle of the night.
