The Spanish refugee team, made up of both refugees and people from vulnerable groups, enjoyed their first training session this Wednesday on the fields of the Ciudad del Fútbol de Las Rozas (Madrid) to prepare for the Unity Euro Cup, a tournament organized by UEFA and UNHCR.
“The team is made up of refugees and people from vulnerable groups, among whom there must be at least two women. This second edition will take place on June 28 in Frankfurt and a total of 16 European Union countries will participate”, has indicated the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) on its website.
The RFEF, together with the social organizations Pinardi and Red Deporte, have selected the different players who will wear the Spain shirt. “This team will take advantage of Saturdays to continue preparing for the tournament,” the press release specified.
