The Spanish Mateu Lahoz, referee for the Netherlands-Argentina

MADRID, 7 Dic. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Spanish referee Mateu Lahoz will direct the quarterfinal duel of the World Cup in Qatar 2022 between the Netherlands and Argentina, next Friday, December 9 at the Lusail Iconic Stadium.

The Valencian, who was present four years ago at Russia 2018, has already refereed two games in the Qatari group stage: Qatar-Senegal, in Group A, and the decisive and tense Iran-United States game on the last day of Group B.

Mateu, who will meet several acquaintances from LaLiga Santander, will be assisted by Pau Cebrián and Roberto Díaz, while from the VAR the Canarian Hernández Hernández will help him.
