The Spanish athlete Fátima Diame stood on the podium at the World Indoor Athletics Championships, which is being held in Glasgow, by achieving bronze in the long jump final.
Diame gave Spain the second medal in the World Cup, both so far on the last day this Sunday before the afternoon session ends. The Valencian signed a jump of 6.78 in her fifth attempt that earned her her first absolute medal in a major tournament, behind the Americans Tara Davis (7.07) and Monae ‘Nichols (6.85) .
